Our hearts are filled with so much joy! We are overwhelmed with happiness as we prepare for a weekend filled with love, safe and sane fun, and reuniting and strengthening our family ties.

ReplyDeleteThe love, fun, and happiness during the family Bowling Party Friday night set the weekend off real nice. The air was packed with so much excitement, happiness, smiles, laughter, high fives, squealing and screaming ... the children had a blast ... adults blasted back to their adolescent celebration dance steps and joy!
On Saturday, Joey and Uncle Walter hooked up some seriously delicious BBQ chicken, hamburgers, salmon burgers, and hot dogs. The Browns, Justices, and Presseys prepared gorgeous presentations of hors d'ouvres, fruit salad, green salad, and potato salad, green beans, baked beans, jasmine rice, etc. Even though we were miserably stuffed, we could not resist tasting "slivers" of the various delectable gourmet desserts.
The families graced the dance floor with beautiful footwork! Aunt Suzy and Ray Justice showed us the meaning of smooth and mellow steps! And, Uncle Walter gave us a few steppin' lessons!
Saturday night, after returning to the hotel, some family members dipped in the pool, others gathered in the hotel conference room enjoying BBQ leftovers and family discussions. Before long, a few tables formed with some serious card playing well into the wee morning hours.
Again, we gathered to share breakfast in the hotel dining area, and as the day progressed, families departed one by one for their home cities.
The Brown-Justice-Pressey family love and magical experiences are blossoming and will flourishing for many years to come.

Yes cousin Lori...I concur!!! I thank GOD for my family near and far. It's so amazing to see that after so many years of never meeting some of my family members, we all favor one another, exhibit a special type of love and affection, let our hair down and rejoice just as our parents would want us to!
ReplyDeleteAlthough my father (Russell Brown, Sr.) is not here on Earth, I know he (as well as his siblings and parents) was right there with us (laughing, singing, dancing, etc.)!
My mother (Rose...aunt suzie) is one phenomenal individual (and so is my stepfather...Walter)! I want to be just like my mother when I grow up...lol (the truth of the matter is...I'm truly Russell Brown's child...lol!)!
To the F.R.O's (family reunion organizers)... hats off to you all! You did an OUTSTANDING job in bringing us together once again!!! The community center, entertainment/activities, food, etc...EXCELLENT! I love you all and can't wait until we do it all over again.
