2010 Reunion

In July 2010, descendants of William and Martha Brown gathered for our first family reunion.  Most of us were strangers and learned about our family ties relative to our descendancy through William and Martha Brown.  We had a wonderful cookout at the Goochland Recreational Center on Saturday, July 24, 2010.  Later Saturday evening, the Browns, Justices, and Presseys inadvertently took over the pool back at the hotel and engaged in a rock-em sock-em water splashing extravaganza.  The pool cleared out of all other guests leaving the Browns, Justices, and Presseys to enjoy splashing games to their squealing delight!

When the pool closed, everyone stood poolside wondering when the next family reunion would be held; at that moment, we decided to schedule the Brown-Justice-Pressey Family Reunion during the 3rd weekend every July.

Sunday morning and to our pleasant surprise, family members started showing up for breakfast.  The dining area could not accommodate all hotel breakfast guests, so hotel staff opened the conference room for the Browns, Justices, and Presseys so we could enjoy breakfast and our closing moments together.  We all had a splendid time!!
